Music Programs

DSC_0909Lutherans believe that music is a vehicle of God’s grace in our lives. All music from Gregorian chant to hip-hop can convey God’s love and blessing in our lives. Martin Luther started his Reformation by setting the message of God’s love in Jesus to the popular bar tunes of his time. J.S. Bach wove his deep Lutheran spirituality into his most popular tunes. Today Lutherans continue to explore God’s grace in many musical forms including jazz, rock, rap, folk, and classical.

We have a weekly choir “Voices from the Loft” that meet on Thursday evenings, and a handbell choir that performs seasonally, also rehearsing on Thursday evenings.

Youth from our congregation often sing or play an instrument to enhance music during the Worship service.
